2. Poached Eggs
Poached eggs can be tricky on the stove, but they’re a breeze in the microwave.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions:
- Fill a microwave-safe mug or bowl with water.
- Crack an egg into the water.
- Cover with a microwave-safe plate and microwave on high for about 1 minute.
- Check the egg, and if necessary, continue to microwave in 10-second intervals until the white is set and the yolk is to your desired consistency.
3. Sunny-Side-Up Eggs
Sunny-side-up eggs are perfect for a quick breakfast or to top your favorite dish.
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- A small amount of oil or butter
Instructions:
- Lightly grease a microwave-safe plate with oil or butter.
- Crack the egg onto the plate.
- Pierce the yolk gently with a toothpick to prevent it from bursting.
- Microwave on high for about 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until the white is set and the yolk is cooked to your liking.
4. Egg in a Mug
This method is great for a quick, all-in-one breakfast.
