3. Bottom Watering FTW – I place the pot in a dish of water and let it soak for 30 minutes. Keeps the roots happy and prevents rot around the crown.
4. Feed Lightly – A balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–3 weeks in spring/summer works wonders for vibrant growth and those purple/green stripes.
5. Re-pot or Trim Roots if Leggy – When it gets root-bound or straggly, I give it a bigger pot or snip long vines to root in water and replant — a free plant refresh!
