A well-maintained garden is the basis:
Mowing the lawn regularly, trimming hedges, removing dead leaves, and avoiding poorly ventilated, damp areas will drastically limit tick hiding places. Also, remember to clear the area around your house, avoiding piles of wood or rocks, which are ideal hiding places for ticks.
Suitable clothing for your outings:
If you’re going for a walk in nature, choose clothing that covers your skin: long pants, socks rolled up, and a long-sleeved shirt. Light-colored clothing is your best friend: it makes it easier to spot ticks before they settle.
Well-protected animals:
Ticks love to nestle in the fur of dogs and cats. After each walk, brush them thoroughly, paying particular attention to warm, hard-to-reach areas: behind the ears, between the pads, under the paws. There are also natural anti-parasite collars or pipettes made from gentle, suitable essential oils .
