5. Add Whitening Boosters (Optional)
If you want to make your pillows snow-white, you can add some whitening boosters to the wash. Here are a few options:
1/2 cup baking soda: Helps lift stains and whiten fabric.
1/2 cup white vinegar: Acts as a natural softener and deodorizer.
1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide: A natural whitening agent that helps remove yellow stains.
Simply add these ingredients directly to the drum of the washing machine.
6. Use a Gentle Cycle
Set the washing machine to a gentle or delicate cycle using warm water. Avoid using hot water, as it can damage certain pillow materials. Cold water may not clean as effectively. If your machine has the option, choose an extra rinse cycle to ensure all detergent is removed.
7. Spin Twice
Once the wash cycle is complete, run an extra spin cycle to remove excess water from the pillows. Pillows can absorb a lot of water, and the extra spin will help them dry faster.

8. Dry in the Dryer with Tennis Balls
Place the pillows in the dryer along with two or three clean tennis balls or dryer balls. These will help fluff up the pillows and prevent them from clumping during the drying process. It’s recommended to use a low heat or air-dry setting to avoid damaging the pillow’s filling. Drying may take a couple of cycles.
