1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Directions
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Peel the bananas and slice them in half lengthwise.
Brush each banana half with melted butter to coat them evenly.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg if you’re using it.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the buttered banana halves, ensuring an even coating.
Place the banana halves in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the bananas are caramelized and tender.
Carefully remove the bananas from the air fryer, drizzling with honey if desired. Serve warm and enjoy.
Variations & Tips
For a decadent twist, try adding a sprinkle of chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts just before serving. If you prefer a tropical flair, pair the bananas with a bit of shredded coconut. You can also experiment with different spices like cardamom or ginger to add unique flavors. If you’re feeling indulgent, drizzle some melted chocolate over the bananas right before serving for a heavenly dessert.
