Instructions:
- Prepare the fruit: Wash and chop the fruit into small pieces. You can use one type of fruit or a combination of fruits for variety.
- Blend the fruit: Put the chopped fruit into a blender or food processor. Add a splash of fruit juice or coconut water to help with blending. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, you can blend the fruit to your desired consistency.
- Sweeten (if desired): Taste the fruit mixture and add sweetener if needed. This step is optional and depends on the sweetness of your fruit and your personal preference. Honey, maple syrup, or sugar are common options for sweetening popsicles.
- Fill the molds: Pour the blended fruit mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion. If you’d like, you can add whole fruit pieces into the molds for added texture and visual appeal.
- Insert popsicle sticks: Place popsicle sticks into the center of each mold. Make sure they are standing upright and fully submerged in the fruit mixture.
- Freeze: Place the popsicle molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
- Unmold and enjoy: Once the popsicles are fully frozen, remove them from the molds by running warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds. Gently wiggle the popsicles until they release from the molds. Enjoy your homemade popsicles immediately, or store them in plastic bags or containers in the freezer for later.
Feel free to experiment with different fruit combinations, juices, and sweeteners to create your own customized popsicle flavors!
