- Prep the Chicken:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Pound each chicken breast to about 1/4 inch thickness between plastic wrap.
- Assemble:
- Lay a slice of Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast.
- Roll them up tightly and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Breading Stations:
- Set up three shallow dishes.
- Fill the first with flour.
- Fill the second with beaten eggs.
- In the third, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bread the Chicken:
- Dredge each chicken roll in flour, then dip it in the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for a good coating.
- Place the breaded rolls in the greased baking dish.
- Bake & Rest:
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breading is golden brown.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Serve:
- Enjoy your Chicken Cordon Bleu hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
- It pairs well with steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
