Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Make the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth and well blended. Pat the batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Prepare the gooey layer: In a separate large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the beaten eggs and beat for a few minutes. Gradually add the powdered sugar and beat until well blended.
Assemble: Pour the gooey layer evenly over the prepared crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until baked. Do not overbake.
Cool: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
