1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease 9×13 baking dish.
2. In a bowl, mix 2 lbs minced beef, 1 1/2 cups crumbled saltine crackers, 1 cup whole milk, 1/2 tsp Italian herbs, 1/2 tsp powdered garlic, 1/2 tsp powdered onion, 1/4 tsp cayenne, salt, and pepper.
3. Shape the mixture into 1/2-inch-thick hamburger steaks. Dredge them in flour.
4. Brown the steaks in a skillet over medium-high heat, then transfer them to a baking dish.
5. Whisk together 2 cans condensed mushroom soup and 1 1/2 cups whole milk. Pour the mixture over the steaks in the baking dish.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes until cooked through and the gravy is bubbly.
7. Let it rest briefly before serving. Garnish however you choose! Enjoy with your choice of side dishes.
