How long should I boil hard-boiled eggs?
For medium-sized eggs – 8–9 minutes, for larger ones – 9–10 minutes. -
Can I use the method for different sizes?
Yes, just adjust the time according to the size. -
Why should I put vinegar in the water?
Vinegar makes the shell more fragile and makes it easier to peel. When cracked, the egg white sets quickly and does not leak into the water. -
The easiest way to peel eggs is
to immediately place them in ice water after boiling – this loosens the shell. -
Can they be made in advance?
Of course. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, preferably with the shell on. If they are already peeled, keep them in a tight container and use within 2 days. -
Can they be frozen?
It is not recommended – the protein changes its structure.
How to prepare them step by step
-
Remove the eggs from the refrigerator and leave them at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
-
Place them in a saucepan with enough cold water to cover them well, and add 1 tablespoon vinegar.
