6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
½ cup water
1 packet (0.16 oz) unsweetened Kool-Aid (flavor of choice)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon food coloring (to match Kool-Aid flavor)
Candy apple sticks
