- 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
For the Creamy Filling:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Ganache:
- 8 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened (optional, for shine)
For the Vanilla or White Chocolate Glaze (Optional):
- 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 4 ounces white chocolate, melted and cooled (optional)
