Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients:
– Slice the bananas and strawberries.
– If using homemade whipped cream: Whip 2 cups of heavy cream with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
Layer the Dessert:
– Start with sliced bananas and strawberries at the bottom of a large trifle dish or individual glasses.
– Spoon a layer of chocolate pudding over the fruit.
– Add a layer of whipped cream.
– Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
– Repeat the layers until the top of the dish is reached, finishing with whipped cream.
Top the Trifle:
– Arrange raspberries on top.
– Drizzle more chocolate sauce.
– Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chips, and crushed cookies or brownies if desired.
Garnish:
– Add fresh mint leaves for color and freshness.
Serve:
– Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
– Serve chilled and enjoy!
