Instructions:
Prepare the Lobster Tails:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Using kitchen shears, carefully cut through the top shell of each lobster tail. Gently pull apart the shell, exposing the meat while leaving the end of the tail intact. You can also gently lift the lobster meat out of the shell and rest it on top, keeping the shell attached to create a beautiful presentation.
Rinse the lobster tails under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season the lobster meat with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chili flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
Cook the Lobster Tails:
Arrange the prepared lobster tails in a shiny aluminum tray or a baking dish. Drizzle half of the lemon garlic butter sauce over the lobster meat, ensuring the meat is well coated.
Bake the lobster tails in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through. The meat should be firm but tender, and the shells should turn a vibrant red.
Finish the Dish:
Once the lobster tails are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle with the remaining lemon garlic butter sauce.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, chili flakes for a bit of heat, and lemon slices for a fresh, zesty contrast.
Serve:
Serve the lobster tails immediately, alongside additional lemon wedges or a light salad to complement the rich, buttery flavors.
