In a large bowl, beat together the eggs, sugar, and a pinch of salt until pale and fluffy. Add the zest of two lemons and the melted butter. Mix until well combined. Sift together the flour and baking powder, then fold them into the egg mixture. Stir in 2 tablespoons of milk until the batter is smooth. Grease and flour a cake pan, then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 2. Prepare the Lemon Soak: While the cake is baking, mix the lemon juice and powdered sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved. When the cake is done, remove it from the oven and poke small holes all over the surface using a toothpick. Pour the lemon soak over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in completely.
