Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente (follow package instructions).
Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Bacon
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy.
Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
3. Cook the Beef and Onions
In the same skillet, add ground beef and diced onion.
Cook over medium heat until the beef is browned and onion is softened, breaking beef into crumbles.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
4. Make the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and stir in Alfredo sauce.
Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
Return the cooked bacon to the skillet, reserving some for garnish if desired.
5. Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet.
Toss until the pasta is fully coated with the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve
Plate the pasta and top with chopped pickles for a tangy crunch.
Garnish with fresh parsley and reserved bacon pieces. Serve immediately!
Notes
Customization: Swap ground beef with turkey or plant-based crumbles for a variation.
Cheese Options: Try Monterey Jack or Gouda for a unique twist.
Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare components separately and assemble just before serving for optimal freshness.
