He recalled how his previous trips had been really elaborate occasions. In an effort to make a good impression on the affluent owner of the firm, the employees would stand in line to meet him with champagne and friendly smiles.Richard, engrossed in his thoughts, failed to see the approaching guy until it was too late. The guy gave him an obscene expression as they crashed. After spitting out “Watch where you’re going, you bum!” the guy walked back inside the building.

No one heard from Richard. He had become used to such abuse during the previous month; after all, he was now simply Richie, a homeless guy in need of some compassion.In the hopes that things would be different this time, Richard steeled himself and walked inside the office, where he addressed the security officer.
