This initiative is applauded by some, concerned about saving the environment by avoiding using toilet paper, but criticized by others who feel horrified by this idea. But is this “family tissue” really a good idea?
Reusable cloth, advantage or disadvantage?
Using toilet paper has long been the only method to clean yourself after going to the toilet, but it turns out that it is not the most effective method since it generates gynecological problems and even urinary tract infections. Friction with the paper is the main cause. Also, some people opt for household linen, believing that it is not only more hygienic but also more environmentally friendly.
Moreover, a French person uses about 17 grams of toilet paper per day, or 6.2 kilos per year. Also, experts believe that the use of toilet paper should be banned. Indeed, they also argue that toilet paper is expensive for both the consumer and the environment. According to them, it kills about 27,000 trees per day in the world, which contributes to massive deforestation.
