Step by step instructions:
Make sure your cooktop is cool
First and foremost, make sure your cooktop is completely cool before you start the cleaning process. This prevents streaking and ensures safety. Remove loose debris
Wipe your cooktop with a dry microfiber cloth to remove any loose debris or crumbs.
Spray with vinegar
Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and generously spray the entire surface of your cooktop. Vinegar is a natural degreaser and helps dissolve any greasy residue.
Sprinkle with baking soda
Lightly sprinkle baking soda over the surface covered in vinegar. Baking soda is a mild abrasive that will help remove any burnt-on food particles without scratching the glass.
Set aside
Set the vinegar and baking soda mixture aside for about 15 minutes. During this time, both ingredients will work together to soften and remove stubborn stains.
Wipe Clean
After 15 minutes, use a damp microfiber cloth or soft sponge to gently wipe away the baking soda and vinegar mixture. The stains should come off easily, leaving your cooktop streak-free and clean.
Use a razor blade scraper (optional)
If you come across particularly stubborn stains that baking soda and vinegar can’t remove, carefully use a razor blade scraper at a low angle to gently lift away any residue. Make sure the blade lies flat against the glass to avoid scratching.
Final Wipe
Once all the stains have been removed, wipe with a clean, damp cloth to remove any remaining residue, then dry with a dry microfiber cloth.
