Servings: 8 servings
Ingredients:
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 3 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
– 1 (9-inch) pre-baked pie crust
– 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
– 3/4 cup milk
– 3/4 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon paprika
– 3 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
– 1 (9-inch) pre-baked pie crust
– 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
– 3/4 cup milk
– 3/4 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, occasionally stirring, until they are caramelized and golden, about 20 minutes. Be patient; it’s worth it for the depth of flavor!
2. Spread the caramelized onions evenly into the bottom of your pre-baked pie crust
