My Granddaughter Kicked Me Out Because I Got Married at 80 – I Couldn’t Take the Disrespect & Taught Her a Lesson (Page 2 ) | August 9, 2024

Harold graciously invited me to his house for our little wedding ceremony. We chose to educate Ashley on the importance of respect. Harold, who knew she was passionate about photography, secretly sent her an invitation to a local photography event, where he planned to show her his prize-winning photographs.
Harold proudly displayed our wedding photographs at the occasion, stating, “I found love at 79, proving age is just a number.” “When Ashley’s parents passed away, I sold my house to pay for her education,” I told the crowd. She was my own child growing up. She had just forgotten the importance of love and respect.
Ashley came up to us, her eyes welling up with tears, and she said, “I’m really sorry.” Will there be a day when you can forgive me? She promised she would never again take me for granted as we embraced and she extended an invitation to a family dinner. Our departure that night instilled in me a fresh feeling of community and optimism for what the future held.
