Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven & Brown Meat: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or ground turkey over medium heat until it’s completely browned. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
2. Combine Meat, Soup, and Broccoli: Stir in the cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup) with the cooked meat, mixing well until thoroughly combined. Add the chopped broccoli to the meat mixture and stir until evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Assemble Casserole: Transfer the meat and vegetable mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly to form the base of the casserole. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the meat and vegetable mixture. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese, covering the entire surface.
4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is bubbly.
5. Cool and Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the layers to set slightly.
