What happens to germs?
We all know that when we pull the chain, the tank ensures that the toilet water flows into the bowl.
However, this simple action can cause germs to spread throughout the bathroom.
Therefore, if we don’t want our bathroom to become an amusement park for unwanted germs, we can minimize their spread by flushing the toilet only after closing the lid.
Water saving
For those who don’t know, flushing a toilet requires between 3 and 10 liters of water, depending a lot on the tank we have installed in our bathroom.
Even so, if every time we go to urinate we waste 3 to 10 liters of water, remember that this is drinking water , at the end of the day we will have wasted about 80 liters of water. This calculation is individual, so you have to imagine the expense that would result with a family of 4 people who use the bathroom several times a day!
Wasting water in this way is not only bad for us, but also for the entire ecosystem. For this reason, reducing the frequency of flushing, or at least reducing it, is a great way to reduce water waste, especially when it’s not necessary.
