If you want to create a more decadent treat, use dark chocolate or milk chocolate depending on your preference.
Instructions
Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and softened butter. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is fully incorporated. If you prefer a crunchier texture, add rice krispies at this point and mix well.
Form the Balls: Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a lined baking sheet or tray.
Chill the Balls: Refrigerate the peanut butter balls for at least 30 minutes to firm them up.
Dip in Chocolate: Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Place the chocolate-covered balls back on the baking sheet.
Let Them Set: Allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature or refrigerate the balls for a faster result.
Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate is firm, the peanut butter balls are ready to be enjoyed!
