Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
  3. Prepare the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
  4. Drain the sauerkraut very well to remove excess moisture.
  5. Spread the drained sauerkraut evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the sauerkraut layer.
  6. Layer the drained egg noodles over the sauerkraut and brown sugar.
  7. Top the noodles with the cooked ground beef mixture.
  8. In a separate bowl, combine one can of warm water with the two cans of tomato soup, stirring until smooth. Pour this mixture over the ground beef layer, ensuring it spreads evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the top of the casserole.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown, and the edges are bubbling.
  11. Remove from the oven and let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.
