Ash is a natural product and is nothing more than the product of combustion. It is rich in nutrients and these include potassium, phosphorus, calcium and other minerals as well. Many people also use it absolute in ‘solid’ form as a fertilizer or in liquid form as we showed earlier.
Ash goes to improve plant nutrition and can also be used in vegetable plants because it increases their resistance to diseases or viruses. In fact, it also helps so much as a pesticide by keeping pest infestations away. Beware of contraindications, however.
In fact, ash is very alkaline, which is precisely why the pH of the soil must be tested before applying it to the soil. If the pH is high, acidic substances must be added to bring it down. And then it is also important to know the ash you are using as it is good to use only ash from untreated wood to avoid the presence of harmful chemicals.
