On an old sweater, I found some strange little reddish balls, and I almost threw up when I realized what they were.

I took out a pile of sweaters and examined them—everything looked perfect, no holes, no stains. I decided to wash them before donating them, and suddenly I noticed these strange little reddish oval balls on one of the sweaters.

At first, I thought it might be berries or seeds that the children had brought in one day, or something that had fallen from above. But to the touch, it felt unpleasant, like small pebbles, and the smell was quite strong.

Curiosity overcame my disgust, and I searched the internet to find out what it could be. When I found the answer, my heart felt like it would stop.

These strange “balls” turned out to be mouse droppings—colored red because of the poison I myself had put in the cupboard a few years ago and had completely forgotten about!
