– At the moment, it cannot be a concomitant in terms of oncological diseases, although its anti-cancer effect has been scientifically established, because in order to get to a drug that has this effect in patients, medications must be developed. These medications must be clinically tested, approved, etc. This takes a long time. Keep in mind that out of 10 clinical applications, i.e. out of 10 medications that start as potential drugs, only one manages to be registered as such. The others, during the course of clinical trials, turn out to either have side effects, or are toxic, or do not help, or do not have the percentage of effectiveness that we expect, or are difficult to apply… So they are dropped in these clinical trials and very few drugs that we test see the light of day as drugs.

– But from what I read in your book, rock rose is very effective for gastrointestinal problems.
– Yes, absolutely. Especially for diseases of the digestive system, which are also of many types, including oncological ones. But here we are talking about diseases such as gastritis, colitis, inflammations, as well as stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers. These are very common diseases. But the rock rose is, perhaps, the herb in which the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases is the main effect. At least that is how it is described in ancient texts.
Even in Ancient Greece, it was used mainly for gastrointestinal diseases. For soothing, against ulcers, gastritis and colitis and other gastrointestinal disorders. But here I have to say something that may be interesting to your audience. In principle, in the group of herbs, in general and in herbology and herbal medicine, the largest group is that of herbs that are used for gastrointestinal diseases. Why is this so? There is a logical answer to this question. The ancient man, who began to get to know herbs, ate many plants. Along with them, there were many herbs that he consumed because they were tasty, as spices and so on.
