The Oscar-winning comedian then took the stage with a mock quivering lip and pretended to cry. “No worries, folks, I’m good,” she said.
“You had just joined, and my backstage friends were long gone. And I’m not one to work without friends,” Behar clarified, with Goldberg chiming in that their friendship goes way back and she was just pulling her friend’s leg.
The dynamic duo had been the face of The View for a considerable time before Behar’s initial departure in 2013. The 80-year-old cohost made a triumphant return in 2015, juggling two solo talk shows on other networks: The Joy Behar Show, running from 2009 to 2011, and Joy Behar: Say Anything! in 2012.
Behar’s opinions often ruffle feathers among conservative viewers, but she made it clear on the latest broadcast that she’s not budging an inch.
