Instructions
Form the Meat Patties:
Divide ground beef into three equal portions and shape into flattened patties, sized to fit your bread.
Season the Meat:
Sprinkle each side of the patties with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook the Patties:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties until fully cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the Secret Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, bacon, ketchup, sugar, and relish until well blended.
Assemble the Patty Melts:
Wipe the skillet and reduce heat to medium.
Butter one side of each bread slice.
Place three slices buttered-side down in the skillet.
Layer each with a slice of provolone, a beef patty, and a slice of cheddar.
Add the Secret Sauce:
Spread sauce on the unbuttered side of the remaining slices and place them sauce-side down over each sandwich.
Toast and Serve:
Grill each sandwich until the bottom is golden brown, flip, and toast the other side. Serve hot.
