Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the meat and coat it well on both sides.
Make sure to fry the patties over medium-high heat until they are fully done. Take it out of the skillet.
Combine all of the sauce ingredients and stir until combined while the meat cooks.
After you’ve wiped off the pan, lower the heat to medium and cook the beef.
Make sure to coat each slice of bread with butter.
Toast three slices of bread in a pan, butter sides down.
Pile two slices of provolone on top of each slice of bread, then top with a beef patty and two slices of cheddar.
Before placing the remaining pieces of bread sauce-side down on top of the patty that is melting in the skillet, brush a small amount of sauce onto their non-buttered sides.
Once one side of the bread is well toasted and the provolone has melted, turn the burger over.
Prior to serving, thoroughly toast the opposite side of the bread.
