Even if it’s not much, these sales are a nice way to say thanks. Something that has become standard practice for several companies.
Also, not long ago, an Ohio KFC location decided to join in. There were a lot of responses on the internet when the business put up the sign.
The store’s policy was to provide complimentary meals to everyone wearing in uniform, regardless of the time of day or date. A price cut on chicken as a token of gratitude to the police in the area was the first concept. At the end of the day, this new regulation was going to get more internet attention.
The upload of this photograph on the Ohio Going Blue Facebook group created a firestorm of debate.
A lot of people had different opinions, even though there were over 10,000 likes and 6,000 shares.
Some commenters questioned if the offer to the police was really required. Other comments suggested that the officer would rather not get preferential treatment and would rather foot the bill himself. Opinions expressed by Facebook administrators:
