1. Prepare the Potatoes:

  • Boil and Mash:
    • Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash the potatoes until smooth. Let the mashed potatoes cool slightly.
  • Mix with Eggs:
    • Beat the eggs and mix them into the mashed potatoes. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried garlic. Set aside.

2. Prepare the Meat Filling:

  • Cook the Onion:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sautΓ© until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Brown the Beef:
    • Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Add Mushrooms and Garlic:
    • Add the sliced mushrooms to the beef mixture and cook until tender and liquid has evaporated, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Incorporate the Cream:
    • Remove the pan from heat and stir in the cooking cream until well combined.

3. Assemble the Pie:

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).
  • Layer the Pie:
    • Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Spread half of the potato mixture evenly on the bottom of the dish.
    • Add the meat filling on top of the potatoes, spreading it out evenly.
    • Cover the meat filling with the remaining mashed potatoes, spreading it evenly.
  • Add the Cheese:
    • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top layer of potatoes.
