Start by removing dust and dirt from baseboards with a suction brush. You can also use a wiper to do the job. If you use a mop, combine it with a microfibre cloth.
Then take a bucket and fill it with water and liquid detergent or Marseille soap.
Soak a cloth in the cleaning solution and wipe the baseboards.
You can also pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray it onto the cloth to avoid soiling the walls. Then clean the dirty plinths and use a cotton ball to reach inaccessible corners.
Complete the cleaning with a few passes with a dry cloth to remove excess water that could deform the baseboards.
