In 2024, British singer Gary Barlow’s son made headlines for his freakishly large genetics, but 2025 saw Donald Trump’s son, Barron, steal the spotlight as the latest famous offspring to be blessed with a gigantic frame, prompting a large response from social media.
Estimated to be standing at a whopping 6-foot-7 to 6-foot-9, the US president’s youngest child has understandably drawn attention for reasons other than simply being the American leader’s son.
Barron towers over his siblings in family photo
After Trump’s children gathered for a family photo, it was Barron’s remarkable height that got people talking once again. The picture, posted by Ivanka Trump on Tuesday, quickly sparked conversation online, with many stunned by how tall the baby of the family has become.
Standing next to his older half-siblings from Trump’s first marriage to Ivana Trump, Barron appeared to dwarf them all. Notably absent from the photo was Eric Trump, another child from Trump and Ivana’s marriage.
Also included in the snapshot was Tiffany Trump, Barron’s half-sister whose mother is Marla Maples, Trump’s former wife. The extended family was represented too, including Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner, Donald Jr.’s girlfriend Bettina Anderson, and Tiffany’s husband Michael Boulos.
The 19-year-old was always genetically predisposed to be one of significant aerial presence, with his father listed at 6-foot-3, while his mother, former model and now First Lady, Melania Trump, stands at approximately 5-foot-11.
The photo was taken when Trump’s children attended his State of the Union address on February 24, which lasted a record-breaking one hour and 47 minutes. Social media users quickly reacted to Barron’s towering frame, with some joking that he looked “12 feet tall,” while others marveled at just how much he stood out in the group.
Trump’s explanation for his son’s exceptional height

Trump has previously commented on his son’s height, crediting Melania’s late mother, Amalija Knavs, for taking exceptional care of him. Per the Daily Mail, during a 2024 campaign rally, he joked that Barron grew so tall because he ate her cooking, adding that he had encouraged his son to consider basketball due to his stature. However, Barron preferred soccer.
Last month, Melania spoke proudly about her son’s growth on Mornings With Maria, noting how different things are now compared to Trump’s first term, when Barron was just 10 years old. At 19, she said, he has a stronger understanding of politics, offers advice to his father, and actively engages in discussions about current affairs.
