This all started when Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris announced Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
The announcement quickly took a life of its own on social media, particularly among Beyoncé’s fanbase, known as the Beyhive.
Their excitement was palpable, not only because of Harris’s choice of Walz but because of a resurfaced proclamation he made in 2023 that declared “Beyoncé Day” in Minnesota.
Governor Walz’s proclamation, issued ahead of Beyoncé’s performance at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, was a heartfelt tribute to the artist.
