Some freezer models have an option that allows automatic defrosting. However, if yours doesn’t have one, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves. But don’t panic! With a simple trick, defrosting is done in no time.

Defrost the freezer with salt
This is not such a popular technique, but it certainly works well for defrosting freezers. It simply consists of using the famous seasoning salt to take care of the inside of your appliance.
And for good reason: by simply sprinkling the ingredient on the various frosted areas, they can be made to melt.

Before proceeding with the technique, first turn off the device and let the spice act for at least 15 minutes after sprinkling salt or even coarse salt on the areas to be treated.
