Salt and bay leaves are fundamental at home, as they solve many problems that no one would ever have thought of acting in this way.
Salt and bay leaf
Generally, coarse salt and fine salt are used for cooking. Bay leaf, on the other hand, is useful especially if you have digestive problems, it has incredible properties that, once discovered, make the product become essential and indispensable in the kitchen and in general at home.
There are multiple uses that concern both salt and bay leaves, very few know them but they are exceptional natural remedies ready to give fantastic and sensational results, without much effort and above all without spending a penny.
Which is not nothing, especially in a difficult period like the one we have been going through for months.
When coarse salt proves useful at home
Coarse salt is found in every home in the world, especially in Italy, grandmothers even use it to salt pasta water. A few spoonfuls can also be useful to soften fabrics in the washing machine, as they remove water by eliminating excess limescale.
In this way, the water becomes less hard and therefore treats the clothes much better and at no cost. The results are jeans and towels that look like new once washed in the washing machine, even if they are out of fashion or simply dried in the dryer, velvety like never before.
In addition, the salt used to wash white clothes prevents yellowing while for colored clothes it rejuvenates the colors that become much more vivid and bright. To obtain these results, it is advisable to put coarse salt in the water and then soak the items to be washed, whether colored or white, and then proceed to machine wash as always.
Bay leaves at home act as natural air fresheners
The bay, for its part, has very clear aromatic leaves, useful for health, but which also eliminate odors from the house. They are perfect for example to absorb the smell of fried foods or in general when cooking any dish.
