Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the crescent roll dough package. Typically, it’s around 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground sausage until it’s browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart into crumbles as it cooks. Use a spatula to break it up into small pieces. Once cooked, remove any excess grease by draining it from the pan.
- Combine Sausage and Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, chopped green onions (if using), garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until it’s well combined.
- Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough, and separate it into individual triangles. Lay them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased with cooking spray.
- Add Filling: Place a spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle.
- Roll ‘Em Up: Roll up each crescent roll, starting from the wide end and tucking in the sides as you go. This will encase the filling inside.
- Bake: Place the filled crescents on the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake them according to the instructions on the crescent roll dough package, usually for about 10-12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
- Serve: Once they’re done baking, remove the crescents from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Then, serve them warm.
Enjoy your delicious Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents as a tasty appetizer or snack! You can also consider serving them with a dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch dressing, for added flavor.
