Ingredients:
1 box Krispy Kreme donuts (quantity adjusted as desired)
32 ounces of frozen peach slices
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 stick of unsalted butter
A sprinkle of cinnamon (adjust to taste) and a hint of nutmeg
2 tablespoons cornstarch
A splash of water
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup Carnation evaporated milk
2 large eggs
1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
Peachy Filling: In a medium saucepan, combine the frozen peach slices, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let this simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes, or until the peaches become soft and aromatic.
Thickening the Mixture: Dissolve the cornstarch in a little water to create a smooth paste. Gradually add this to the peach mixture, stirring continuously. This will give the peach filling a luscious, thick consistency.
Creamy Donut Bath: In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, evaporated milk, eggs, the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar, and a touch of cinnamon. Once combined, cut the Krispy Kreme donuts into bite-sized pieces and immerse them in this creamy mixture. Let them soak and absorb the goodness for about 5 minutes.
Layering the Dessert: Grease a 9×13 baking dish and pour in your peach mixture, spreading it evenly. Gently place the soaked Krispy Kreme pieces on top, ensuring they are well distributed. If you like, you can dot the top with some extra peach slices for added texture.
Bake to Perfection: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Pop the baking dish into the oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when a toothpick inserted into the center of the cobbler comes out clean.
