- Prepare the Mixture: In a small bowl, mix the turmeric powder with the coconut oil to form a thick paste. Coconut oil is chosen for its moisturizing properties and ability to help the skin absorb turmericβs beneficial compounds.
- Soak Your Feet: Before applying the turmeric mixture, soak your feet in warm water for about 10 minutes to soften the calluses. This makes it easier for the remedy to penetrate the thickened skin.
- Apply the Turmeric Paste: Using a cotton ball or your fingers, apply the turmeric and coconut oil paste directly to the callused areas of your feet. Make sure to cover the entire callus with a thick layer of the mixture.
- Cover and Let It Work: For best results, cover the treated areas with a bandage or gauze to keep the paste in place. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes. You can also leave it on overnight for deeper penetration.
- Exfoliate: After allowing the turmeric paste to work, gently scrub the callused areas with a pumice stone or foot file to remove the softened skin. Be gentle to avoid damaging the healthy skin underneath.
- Rinse and Moisturize: Rinse your feet with warm water to remove the turmeric paste and pat them dry. Apply a good moisturizer to keep your feet soft and hydrated.
