Futura Science notes that one-quarter of French people have a genuine phobia of spiders, and that only the most daring individuals of this fearsome group dare to play the shoe game. That driver must have been terrified when she saw Spider-Man’s cousin in her car late at night; that was her one and only error. Luck and horror build up over the rest of the story.
The unbelievable backstory of this motorist is revealed in the Ouest France newspaper. An irrational fear put a young driver in a ditch on the highways of Morbihan. As she drives toward Quimper-Vannes that night in the dark, she glances into four sets of eyes. His worst nightmare had just begun.
All of this occurred on the 165 highway between Lanester and Hennebont at about 3 in the morning. The young woman became visibly terrified and panicked upon seeing the spider. After then, his car started zigzagging and eventually ended up in the ditch next to the road.
