For the cookies and cream layer:
12 to 15 Oreo cookies (or chocolate sandwich cookies)
250 ml whipped cream (or whipped cream)
Additional ingredients:
Chocolate shavings or chocolate syrup for garnishing (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare chocolate pudding:
Heat milk and cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat until hot, but do not boil.
In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, cocoa powder and salt until smooth.
Gradually pour the hot milk and cream mixture into the egg mixture, stirring constantly to prevent the eggs from curdling.
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens (about 5 to 7 minutes). The cream should coat the back of a spoon.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool to room temperature.
2. Prepare the cookies and cream layer:
Crush the Oreo cookies into small pieces (you can use a food processor or place them in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin).
In a bowl, stir the crushed cookies into the whipped cream to make a cookie and cream mixture.
3. Serve the dessert:
Layer the chocolate cream in individual glasses or a large dessert bowl, then the biscuit and cream mixture.
Repeat the layers and finish with a layer of chocolate cream.
4. Topping (optional):
Decorate the top with crushed Oreo cookies, chocolate shavings, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
5. Chilling:
Chill the dessert for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set and the flavors to blend.
Serve chilled and enjoy your chocolate, cookies, and cream pudding treat!
