Your favorite sliced bacon (regular, thick-cut, maple, peppered — you choose!)
Tools:
Rimmed baking sheet
Wire rack (optional but ideal)
Parchment paper or aluminum foil (for easy cleanup)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment
(Optional) Place a wire rack on the pan — elevating the bacon helps hot air circulate for extra crispiness
2. Arrange the Bacon
Lay bacon strips flat, side by side — don’t overlap
Leave a little space between each slice for even cooking
💡 Tip: Use tongs to adjust after 5 minutes if any pieces curl.
3. Bake Until Golden
Bake for 12–18 minutes, depending on thickness
Check at 12 minutes — remove when golden brown and crisp to your liking
🔥 Thicker cuts may take 2–4 minutes longer.
4. Drain & Serve
Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease
Let cool 1–2 minutes — it gets crisper as it cools
🍽️ Serve immediately with eggs, toast, or avocado — or crumble over salads or soups.
