Marla Adams was born on August 28, 1938, in Ocean City, NJ. Her journey in the entertainment industry began in New York City, where she attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She graced the Broadway stage in the late 1950s, sharing her exceptional talent with legendary performers such as Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in “The Visit.” And in 1961, she captivated us with her role in “Splendor in the Grass,” alongside Natalie Wood.
The Secret Storm and Beyond
From 1968 to 1974, Marla captivated viewers in her role as Belle Clemens on the CBS daytime drama “The Secret Storm.” But it was her portrayal of Dina Abbott Mergeron in “The Young and the Restless” that truly made her a household name. Despite her initial three-year run on the show, Marla made several guest appearances throughout the years, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of fans.
