Mowing her yard was clearly out of her league. Furthermore, she was hardly able to walk with the aid of her cane; Felix volunteered to assist her, but he couldn’t help but question why her son, who never paid her any visits, wasn’t helping out more.
Accepting Felix’s assistance, Mrs. McAllister was pleased. When she needed assistance around the home, he was always there for her.
Mrs. McAllister welcomed her neighbor inside, handed him a drink of lemonade, and thanked him for his generosity. On top of that, she informed him to be patient since she had a gift to provide him.
A few moments later, she reappeared, this time carrying an enigmatic container. She gave it to him and said that it was a treasured possession of hers that she now wanted Felix to inherit.
She persisted, and he hesitated, saying he couldn’t take the package. After that, she presented him with an apple bag to give to his daughter Suzie.
Suzie informed Felix that the apples had papers inside with what seemed to be codes on them once he returned home. Her father had brought home a package, so she thought they were its contents. Felix refused Suize’s request that she open the package. In his mind, it was only right that he give Mrs. McAllister the package.
