After waiting a few days, Felix finally got around to looking for any information on the package he had received online. Its high historical worth and potential sale price of more than $250,000 caught him off guard.

Felix felt a mix of delight and fear. Ultimately, it was Mrs. McAllister’s desire, and he was unsure whether he should retain the box.

Someone contacted Felix via phone at some point. “Mrs. McAllister’s attorney, Tim, is here today. I’d like to meet up with you immediately. Where are you at the moment?

They rendezvoused in a neighboring café the next day. However, the attorney was accompanied by Henry, who happened to be Mrs. McAllister’s son.

“Listen, Lexi, I’m going to cut to the chase. My mom’s home was broken into, and a little box with dials on top was taken. An heirloom of great value to the family. As you were the only occupant of her residence, I extended an opportunity for you to make the correct choice.

“Do you really believe I pilfered from your mom?” Felix shouted. “I was thanked by Mrs. McAllister with the box for mowing her lawn—a task that you ought to have performed for her!”

“That box would never have been given to you by Mom!” “Hey Felix,” Henry remarked, poking him in the eye with his finger. “A well-known craftsman sold it to my great-great-grandfather, who was a prominent politician!” Only two other things on Earth are identical to it! In exchange for the return of the package, I will pay you $1,000. What do you think?
