Slow Cooker chicken and dumplings

  1. Layer Ingredients: Place chicken in the  slow cooker. Add diced onion, garlic,   butter, poultry seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper.

  2. Add Liquids: Pour in  chicken broth and cream of chicken soup. Stir gently to combine.

  3. Cook Chicken: Cover and cook on Low for 6-7 hours or High for 4 hours, until chicken is tender.

  4. Shred Chicken: Remove chicken, shred with forks, and return to the slow cooker. (Optional: For a thicker broth, mix cornstarch with water and stir in.)

  5. Add Dumplings: Cut biscuit dough into quarters (or roll homemade dumplings) and place on top of the soup. Cover and cook on High for 1-2 hours, until dumplings are fluffy and cooked through. (Add frozen veggies now, if using.)

  6. Serve: Gently stir dumplings into the broth and enjoy hot!
