Instructions:
Prepare the Turkey Breast:
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil or melted butter all over the turkey, making sure to get some underneath the skin if possible.
Season the Turkey:
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme or rosemary. Rub this seasoning mixture evenly over the turkey breast.
Set Up the Slow Cooker:
Pour the chicken or turkey broth into the slow cooker. Place the seasoned turkey breast inside, ensuring it’s breast-side up.
Cook the Turkey:
Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours, or until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C). (Cooking times may vary based on the size of the turkey breast and your slow cooker.)
Optional: Broil for Crispy Skin:
For a crispy, golden skin, transfer the turkey breast to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes, until the skin is crisp and browned.
Serve:
Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve alongside your favorite sides and enjoy!
