The bus, carrying elderly passengers to a casino, collided with a truck at a rural intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

This has become one of Canada’s deadliest road accidents.

Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill confirmed the fatalities and stated that ten others were seriously injured, some in critical condition.
